EXTENSION STUDIES
- Opportunity to study God's Word and prepare for local church ministries in your own church or one near you.
- Opportunity to take classes away from the main campus in local churches where it can be accessible for interested students like you.
- Opportunity to study without having to leave your job or uproot your family and move to Flagstaff, Arizona.
- This is one way Indian Bible College partners with you and Native local churches in the training of its leaders.
- You would have an opportunity to study and earn a "ministry certificate."
- You will be better equipped to serve our Lord Jesus Christ in your own church.
- You will be taught by spiritually, academically, and experientially qualified servants of God.
- Anyone who desires to learn more about God's Word and mature in their spiritual life.
- Lay-leaders who desire to learn more about local church ministry.
- Anyone who has earned a high school diploma or GED.
- Upon completion of 17 credit hours a Church Ministry Certificate is awarded to the student. All course syllabi and notes will be given to those that complete any course for credit in order to teach or train others in their local church settings.
- Core Courses (17 hours total)
- Biblical Perspectives & Backgrounds (3 credit hours)
- Bible Study Methods (3 credit hours)
- Introduction to Christian Education (3 credit hours)
- Personal Evangelism & Discipleship (3 credit hours)
- Christian Family (2 credit hours)
- Introduction to Missions (3 credit hours)
- IBC provides a low cost Bible education for students who desire to serve their Lord in a local church setting. Tuition is paid to your instructor at the beginning of the course.
- Credit hours - $50.00 per hour
- Audit hours - $20.00 per hour
- What is the difference between taking a class for credit and audit? If a student takes a class for credit she/he will earn a letter grade when the class is finished.
- The audit hours do not receive a letter grade and are not transferable. Often, when courses are taken on an audit basis it is usually for spiritual enrichment and ministry skills improvement.
- What's involved in earning college credits for the courses you take?
- You must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have all of your transcripts (from high school and colleges you've attended) mailed to the registrar's office at Indian Bible College in Flagstaff, Arizona.
- Indian Bible College credit hours: A two-hour class will meet for 28 hours and a three-hour class will meet for 40 hours.
- The best case scenario for classes would be four Friday/Saturdays. A minimum of five students for credit per course is required to cover costs. (If a church or organization desires to cover the cost of a given course the number of students will not be an issue). Although it is not necessary to meet consecutively, all courses will need to be completed within three months of the start date.
- Friday: 2-4 hours,
- Saturday: 5-8 hours.
